First Hello,

My name is Karl Osborne and I have been a professional DJ for over 10 years. I am based in Bournemouth and I am able to provide my mobile disco services throughout Dorset, Hampshire & the New Forest & Wiltshire.

I would describe myself as a longstanding experienced modern DJ, who is passionate about his work and also a person who is willing to spend the time with his Clients, to listen, work with & understand how they really want their event to run.

Over 50% of my enquiries come from referrals and recommendations. These recommendations come not only from people seeing me at events they have attended, but also from my clients, thier families and friends, hotels, venues and other independent service providers.

Why Book Me

When you book Olympic DJ, you book a personalised 1-2-1 service between You and Me. I do not operate an agency or sub contract to other DJ's. I am your personal DJ, I will be there at your event & the person that you will be able to contact at anytime about your event.

In preparation for your event I am willing to take the time and spend it with you to discuss, how you would like your event to run and also to answer any questions & confirm any final arrangements that you may have also.

I have been a professional DJ for over a decade, not only as a mobile DJ, but also as top residency DJ, in various well known night spots throughout the Southwest. This working knowledge has given me an extremely good ability to read my audience and adapt to virtually any style of musical genre and perform as a multi platform DJ.

As you would expect from a longstanding professional DJ, I have a very well organised and vast collection of music spanning over 60 years, coupled with a professional level of equipment, clear and precise microphone skills and faultless deliverance of my performance. I have £10 million Public Liability Cover (PLI), my equipment is independantly PAT tested annually and I have full backup service if it is ever needed.

I am also a long standing member of the Musicians Union and attend wedding, hospitality and entertainment tradeshows annually to ensure that my knowledge is both accurate and upto date. I have a vast network of contacts in the leisure industry, which allows me to give you something a little extra if you so wish.

How I Perform as a DJ - Weddings

As a DJ I tend to be quiet and reserve at weddings, just as you would expect in control, playing the music that you and your guests want to hear at the right volume and entertaining everyone on your special day.

I tend not to use my microphone at weddings, unless it is requested for speeches or if I have to politely inform you and your guests of something, such as the buffet being ready, the cutting of the cake, throwing of the bride's bouquet and your first dance.

I accept playlists from you and your guests in advance, which I feel is excellent for planning most events. I always confirm back to you, that I actually have the requests that you have chosen. I feel this is particularly important for the Wedding First Dance and other music chosen for your wedding reception.

I always dress to impress at Wedding functions, wearing a black dinner suit and tie. I am always approachable and take requests from you and your guests during your event.

How I Perform as a DJ - Other Events

When it comes to birthdays, festive occasions and my residencies I have a more upbeat and lively drive to my performance.

I use my microphone as little or as much as you like. I am always up for a bit of fun and want to give you a party to remember playing all types of genres to suit you and your guest's tastes.

All my performances are dynamic; I am there to entertain you with the music that you want to hear. I pay particular attention to the volumes, the mood, ambience and lighting during the event and most importantly I listen to you and your guests.
